In Norse mythology, Mjǫlnir is the hammer of Thor, a major god associated with thunder in Norse mythology. Distinctively shaped, Mjölnir is depicted in Norse mythology as one of the most fearsome weapons, capable of leveling mountains. Though generally recognized and depicted as a hammer, Mjölnir is sometimes referred to as an axe or club. In the 13th century Prose Edda, Snorri Sturluson relates that the Svartálfar Sindri and Brokkr made Mjöllnir at the command of Loki.

Community Challenge®

Designed to be a cross between Extreme Makeover®, American Idol®, Survivor®, and Habitat for Humanity®, our goal is to go into areas devastated by natural disasters and, via the community building experience, help get the area back on its feet. This will be accomplished by working with local economic and redevelopment authorities, local religious and nonprofit organizations and the families themselves. Once the primary needs are identified, we will contact the families affected by the disaster (flood, hurricane, fire, etc.) and assist them in the rebuilding and healing process.
