Bergstom “Barry” Long, sometimes Iceberg, never Berggie, is a 47 year old, excess in all things, moderation is for monks, type of a guy. Married with three kids, he is just as apt to miss the soccer game or dance recital due to a hot tip on a horse race as he is to remember the over the top birthday present or show up with the unexpected candy and flowers.

During a “near death” experience, Barry is given the chance to work at making things better (not necessarily right). The “reapers,” with whom he makes the deal, can’t promise Heaven or Hell, or even an amount of time he may or may not have, but only the chance for a possible “do over” in his own life while making other people's lives better.
